PlayPick (playpick.world and its game sites, such as hoop.playpick.world) is a free collection of browser games. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you're under 13, please check with a parent or guardian before making an account.

Your account

An account is just a player name and a password. We don't ask for your email, phone number or real name.
Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed), so nobody can read them, including us.
Pick a name that's friendly. Rude or offensive names may be removed.
Your player name, 3D character and game stats can be seen by other players and by the site owner.

What we collect

Visits: which pages and games are opened, for how long, the kind of device and browser, screen size, and the country (worked out from the internet connection, never an exact location). Each browser gets a random id, so we can count visitors without knowing who they are.
Your account and 3D character: the player name, the character you design and a picture of it.
Game data: settings, progress and scores are mostly kept in your own browser. Online matches send your name, character and game moves to the other players.

Recording how the site is used (computers only)

To find out what's confusing and make PlayPick better, the main page (playpick.world) and the first 10 seconds after a game is opened record how they're used on computers. It records:

where the mouse moves
what's clicked
how far the page is scrolled
the size of the window

It does not record:

typing, so passwords, names and messages are never captured
anything outside the PlayPick page: other tabs, apps or your actual screen
your camera, microphone or sound

It doesn't run on phones or tablets, and in the games it stops after the first 10 seconds. Recordings can only be watched by the site owner, and they're deleted after 14 days.

Notifications to the owner

The site owner gets a phone notification when someone visits or makes an account, showing the player name (if signed in), device type and country.

What we don't do

We don't sell your information or show ads based on it.
We don't use advertising trackers.

Playing fair

Be kind to other players. Don't cheat, spam, or try to break or overload the site. Accounts that do may be removed. The games are provided as-is, for fun, and may change or go offline at any time.

Questions or deleting your data

Text (323) 455-4019 to ask a question or to have your account, character or recordings deleted. I'll reply within 2 hours.

If these terms change, the date at the top will change too.
